~The tree is up!~

We put up the tree this weekend. Yea! I love when the tree and all the decorations go up. I was having a little fun taking pictures of the ornaments on the tree. These are 2 of my favorite. The snowman I painted and gave one to each of my family last year for Christmas. (I make an ornament every year.) The angel was my grandmothers. It is probably 50 yeas old and is still working! Her wings are a little torn but I love her face.

~Creation Museum~

We went to the Creation Museum in Ohio this summer and these are a couple of pictures of us having a good time. It was a very interesting and neat place.

This was such a beautiful day to take pictures! We took these back in August at a park where we live and they turned out great. I am happy you guys liked them so much. I can't wait to take pictures of the little guy!

I'M BACK!!

I'm Back. It has been 9 months since my last blog and I have been very busy. I stopped my home daycare business and went back to work full time. I love my new job and I needed the adult conversation badly. I have photographed 2 weddings since my last entry and learned so much. Luckily the 1st wedding was my nephew and hopefully he wasn't to upset with the results. Sorry Josh :) The second wedding went much better. I still am learning but I believe that is the name of the game . I will post a sneek peek of the wedding later. I also did a maturnity shoot that went really good. thanks Martha and Ricky! It was alot of fun.

I really am going to try to keep this updated. I now have more time to be on the computer to make entries and then upload pictures when I get home. Stay tuned for some picture posts.

What has been going on?

WOW! It has been a month since my last post. Let's see what have I been doing..... I have taken a few new photos of the children I watch. I will post them in a few minutes...
I had a "Glamour Shot" portrait session with some MaryKay directors and their units. It was alot of fun and I really learned alot. A big thanks to Karen, Paula, Dawn and Michelle. I can't wait to do it again. I couldn't figure out the kinks in the lighting both nights so despite those malfunctions I think the photos turned out good. Happy New Year!!

I hope that everybody had a safe and happy new year!! I am making plans....getting my ducks in a row so to speak, for a great year. I have talked with a fellow photographer and he is going to show me the ends and outs of photography. I called the local high school and gave them my name and told them I am very interested in being the schools photographer for dances. I am going to concentrate on perfecting those skills right now so I will be ready when they need me. I also have been asked to take some "glamour shots" at a MaryKay event at the end of the month. I am sooooo excited. This is going to be a great year!! I have a 1.5-2 year goal of opening my own studio. So say a prayer for me and call me to take your picture!!!!
